What are your nannies’ and sitters’ qualifications?

All Sister Sitters are experienced, reliable professionals who meet our high standards.

Minimum requirements include:
    •    18+ years old
    •    In-person interview
    •    Comprehensive background and reference checks
    •    Current CPR / First Aid certification
    •    Clean driving record & reliable transportation
    •    At least two years of verified childcare experience

The Sister Sitters is fully insured for your peace of mind.


Booking & Scheduling

Can I talk to my sitter before they arrive?

Yes! You’ll be connected with your sitter prior to the scheduled service and can view their photo and bio for reference on our website. 

Can I request the same sitter for all of my dates or my entire vacation?

We always do our best to provide consistency and will try to schedule the same sitter for all of your requested dates. However, sitter availability can vary which means we cannot guarantee the same sitter for every date of your booking.

If the same sitter is not available for one or more of your dates, we will assign another trusted member of our team. We will always ensure your family is matched with a sitter who is a great fit and fully prepared for your booking.

Booking early helps ensure availability. 

Do I need to book directly through The Sister Sitters?

Yes. All bookings must go through The Sister Sitters. Our sitters agree not to work for any clients outside the agency, this helps us maintain quality, safety, and consistency.

What areas do you service?

We proudly serve Orlando, Florida. 

What are your hours of operation?

Our standard hours are 8:00 AM - 12:00 AM 
We can accommodate care outside these hours for a $5/hour upcharge.

Holiday Rate: 

To ensure our sitters are fairly compensated when spending holidays supporting families, a $10/hr holiday rate applies on the following dates:

New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Holiday bookings are subject to sitter availability. 


Policies

What is your cancellation policy?

To secure your sitter, a 50% deposit is required at booking.

  • If a booking is canceled 30 days or less prior to the scheduled service date, 50% of the total fee is non-refundable. Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance will receive a full refund.
  • Rescheduling: A $20 fee applies per change. Rescheduled bookings must be used within 30 days and for the originally booked hours. Original sitter is not guaranteed.

  • State of Emergency (e.g., hurricane): No cancellation fees apply.  

  • Booked Hours & Time Changes: All reserved hours secure the sitter's availability for the scheduled time. Once a booking is confirmed, the start and end times are locked in and cannot be shortened. Requests to arrive later, leave earlier, or reduce the total hours after booking will still be charged for the originally reserved time, as the sitter and agency have blocked off that portion of the schedule. 

  • Additional hours may be added either prior to the sitter’s arrival or during the service, pending sitter approval. 

Can you care for sick children?

To protect the health and safety of our sitters and other families, we are unable to provide care for children who are contagious, have a fever, or are experiencing ongoing vomiting or diarrhea.

Children must be fever-free and symptom-free for at least 24 hours prior to the start of care. 

If a child becomes ill during a booking, the sitter reserves the right to end services early and request that a parent return. In the event of a cancellation due to illness, deposits remain non-refundable, as the sitter has reserved time exclusively for your family and is unable to accept another booking.

Additionally, care will not be provided on days when a parent or household member is staying home because of illness. 

What if I need care for less than 3 hours?

There is a non-negotiable 3- hour minimum for all services.

What types of childcare services do you offer?

We customize care to meet your family’s needs, including:

  • Date-night babysitting (local or at your resort / hotel)

  • Theme park childcare (Disney, Universal, SeaWorld)

  • Conference or event care

  • Wedding childcare

  • Nanny placement

No matter what service you choose, we provide safe, reliable childcare, full of fun adventures, exploring, and activities. We always do a light clean up. 

Do you provide activities during babysitting?

Yes! When caring for children at a hotel or resort, sitters arrive with an activity bag filled with age appropriate books, games, and toys to keep your little ones engaged and having fun throughout your stay. 

Can you provide childcare at theme parks?

Absolutely! Our sitters can assist with stroller support, meals, naps, ride swap breaks, and entertaining your children while you enjoy the parks.

We currently service Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld.


Payment & Fees

Are there any additional fees?

There are no agency fees. You simply pay the hourly rate for your service.
Additional fees may apply for:

  • Last-minute bookings (within 48 hours): $20 fee

  • Parking or Special Ticketed Events (theme park parking, resort parking) or (after- hours events, holiday events) 

  • Meal stipend for theme park or resort shifts: $20 for shifts 4+ hours, unless meals provided by the family

How is my sitter paid?

After the shift, you and your sitter will complete a close-out sheet confirming end time. We handle sitter payment directly.

Should I tip my sitter?

Tips are always appreciated but never expected. Your generous tip will go 100% directly to your sitter.
